Oceanbridge is a privately owned company that specialises in international freight management.
Established in 1981 by the Managing Director, Bill Speedy, Oceanbridge now employs over 140 people throughout Australia and New Zealand and has a strong partnership with most countries around the world.
Our Philosophy is to build strong relationships with our customers, agents, and suppliers by providing a consistently high level of service and being honest in all of our dealings.

The CargoWiseOne system is a complete global freight solution to manage bookings, local cartage, transport, shipping, customs, warehousing, and more. Oceanbridge exchanges data in real-time with our agents, customers, and other partners which enables us to provide the very highest level of service.
Executive Team
Bill Speedy - Managing Director
Bill Speedy (NZOM) founded Oceanbridge in 1981 and has steadily grown the business into the industry leader it is today.
Unwavering in his pursuit of excellence in customer service and with a focus on integrity and family values has provided Oceanbridge with the platform to help our customers grow and succeed.
Bill remains heavily involved and is a key contributor to customers businesses to this day.
Scott Wilson - Chief Executive Officer
Scott commenced his career with Oceanbridge in 2004. After a short time he was elevated to Export Trade Manager looking after Australia and Asia. Scott then took on a senior role as General Manager of Sales, following which he was appointed a Director of the company. In his current role as CEO, Scott would be heavily involved in your business overseeing it as a major customer of Oceanbridge and providing senior dealings with the Air and Shipping Lines as required.
Alister Wishart - Chief Operating Officer
Alister started his international shipping career more than 40 years ago, having worked at with international shipping lines at principal level in Wellington, Scandinavia, Europe and Australia. Alister started with Oceanbridge Shipping as General Manager Commercial and Operations more than 26 years ago when the company was burgeoning with less than 30 staff. Alister has now been a Director of Oceanbridge for more than 25 years and in addition to Company responsibilities sits on the Executive team of both Shipping New Zealand and the International Container Lines, both of which lead industry issues with ports and Government Agencies. Through long term relationships and knowledge Alister is able to find solutions for multi modal requirements and specifically project type scenarios where ‘left field’ solutions are sought.
Paul Todd - Chief Financial Officer
Paul has over 25 years’ experience in the shipping and transport industry in New Zealand, moving through a number of roles in that time. His current role as CFO at Oceanbridge has him looking after a strong team that oversee the financial soundness of the business. His innovative ideas, depth of knowledge and passion with computers are strong contributors to the continued growth and development of technology within the business.
